The Capital Region is home to more than 4,000 licensed real estate agents, according to The Greater Capital Association of Realtors. The agents are especially busy this spring as demand for homes outpaces supply.
In March off 2022 local agents logged 14,907 showings. In March 2020 — on the cusp of the pandemic — that number was closer to 12,000 showings.
Get to know a little more about a half-dozen agents in the area who have been featured in the Times Union’s “20 things you don’t know about me.”
Have someone you’d like to nominate for 20 things? Send an email sharing a little bit about the person, as well as their contact info, to kbarlette@timesunion.com.
Brian Brosen
The Capital Team at eXp Realty
If you’ve seen a man around town in a cowboy hat, there’s a good chance that’s Brian Brosen — dad to three (ages 27, 23 and 16) whom he adopted with his partner, Reggie Monroe; co-founder of The Capital Team, associate broker with eXp Realty in Schenectady and one of the most interesting local people on social media.
Vera Cohen
Vera Cohen Realty
If you read ‘for sale’ signs in front of homes in the Capital Region you’ve likely seen Vera Cohen’s name. The real estate agent was a top-selling Realtor in Rensselaer county for the past eight years selling more than 700 homes east of the Hudson River.
Tred Hulse
Coldwell Banker Prime Properties
Tred Hulse is a man who wears two professional caps — a real estate agent as well as a part-time radio host.
Hulse has been a full-time Realtor at Coldwell Banker Prime Properties in Saratoga Springs since August 2017. Before joining the world of real estate, Hulse focused on radio, which he dabbles in today.
Cyndi Martin
Howard Hanna
Thanks to social media, many realtors have become ‘personalities’ – names and faces we recognize not only from ‘for sale’ signs and billboards, but from the stories (and homes) they share online.
Cyndi Martin is an active commenter and poster on social media talking about real estate, but also joining in on current events, pop culture and more.
Brian Sinkoff
Miuccio Real Estate Group
Many people in the Capital Region know Brian Sinkoff’s face, name or both. We first became familiar with the Realtor when he was a sports reporter. These days, we see his likeness on Miuccio Real Estate Group “for sale” signs in the area.
Amanda Vandenbergh
Howard Hanna
People who follow Amanda Vandenbergh on social media — or read her blog — nod their heads while reading or share and ‘like’ her content.
She’s relatable and real, so it makes sense she had one of the most popular community blogs on TimesUnion.com for nearly three years.
These days she is a real estate agent with Howard Hanna in Delmar.
