West Elm has partnered with DTC company Branch to offer office furniture like this for home office workers and small-to-medium-sized businesses.

NEW YORK – West Elm is partnering with Branch, a direct-to-consumer manufacturer of office furniture, to offer a curated assortment of home and corporate office furniture both online and in-store.

The partnership will mark Branch’s first collaboration with a major retailer and is aimed at helping both people who work from home and small-to-medium-sized businesses to outfit their spaces with office furniture that is “both ergonomic and affordable,” according to Torrin Rittenberg, director of growth at Branch.

In addition, the partnership will be a main component of West Elm’s new B2B offering which includes an extensive office assortment, single-click online buying and free design tools that help businesses to outfit their spaces with contract-grade furniture.

“The broader themes of this partnership are fascinating,” Rittenberg said. “We’re cognizant we are one of a select number of direct-to-consumer brands that have opted to pursue an omnichannel distribution strategy, in order to truly meet consumers wherever they might be shopping for furniture.”

Since 2015, West Elm has been committed to bringing its residential design expertise into the modern office to support the changing preferences of people at work. In addition to accommodating various office design aesthetics, the scope of spaces that West Elm office furniture can address continues to evolve and expand as part of the brand’s new B2B offering.

“Business customers now have a simple and supported way to shop online for complete, floor-to-ceiling professional solutions for offices and all business types,” said Cheryl Carpenter, vice president of West Elm Business. “Branch caught our eye because we loved their designs, which are paired with value-driven pricing and contract-grade quality. By including Branch in our West Elm Business offering, we can give our business customers great choices at affordable price points and fast delivery times.”

Rittenberg said Branch has combined the craftsmanship and service of contract furniture with the convenience of fast furniture since it manufactures furniture components in the U.S., China and Canada. At the end of the useful lifecycle, Branch also refurbishes or recycles all of its products free of charge in order to reduce the amount of office furniture that’s sent to the landfill.
