STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In March 2020, Aly Stoffo was searching for a change. A marketing exec with a green energy consulting company in Manhattan, the Travis resident said she was unhappy with her role and was in the process of interviewing with multiple companies. Confident she would land one of the positions, she quit her job. And then the world shut down amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“I hated my commute, and my goal was to work in a more community-oriented role,” Stoffo said. “I had absolutely no idea that a global pandemic was about to begin, and I definitely had zero intention of becoming an entrepreneur.”
