Smallcap stocks to watch out on February 17

Keynote Financial Services, Mirza International, Megastar Foods, Fineotex Chemical, Fiberweb (India), SEL Manufacturing Company, Focus Lighting and Fixtures, Shree Ram Proteins, Mahalaxmi Rubtech, Sejal Glass, Godha Cabcon & Insulation and Accuracy Shipping made a fresh 52-week high yesterday.

Yesterday, Indian equity markets witnessed a highly volatile session. Frontline indices Nifty 50 and Sensex slipped 0.17 per cent and 0.25 per cent, ending at 17,322.20 and 57,996.68 respectively. BSE Small-cap index, however, bucked the broader market trend, closing in the green territory at 28,161.67.  

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, February 17, 2022: 

Modi Naturals – The company has recently informed the exchange that it has recently performed the groundbreaking ceremony (bhumi pujan) of its greenfield ethanol distillery at Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The company is setting up a state-of-the-art distillery, which has a production capacity of 210 KLD, with a 6MW cogeneration power plant. To set up this plant, the company incorporated a 100 per cent subsidiary (wholly owned subsidiary) called ‘Modi Biotech Private Limited’ (MBPL). 

Innovators Facade Systems – The company has announced that it has been awarded the work order of approximately Rs 70 (plus) crore for design, supply, fabrication and installation of facade work in the Mumbai region from Lodha Group. 

Parsvnath Developers – The company has recently announced that it has entered into a memorandum of business understanding with SJP Hotels & Resorts Private Limited (“SJP”), Migsun Group, for undertaking and completing the construction, development, marketing and sale of its residential Project viz. “Parsvnath Palacia’. The said project is an ongoing project of the company consisting of six multi-storied towers having a total of 442 units.
