Envista Forensics buys Grecco Construction Consultants

Envista Forensics, an Atlanta-headquartered forensic engineering and consulting firm, has acquired Memphis, TN-based Grecco Construction Consultants (GCC).

Founded in 2011, GCC brings extensive construction knowledge to help insurers and attorneys assess and analyze properties after catastrophic building or structural incidents. The firm provides services appraisals, property loss inspections, estimates of repair, and roof inspections.

GCC’s more than 20 employees have completed thousands of property evaluations across commercial, residential, agricultural, industrial, and institutional claims.

Headquartered in Chicago, Envista’s approximately 600 global consultants deliver services in failure analysis, fire and explosion investigations, digital forensics, building and construction consulting, and damage evaluations, among other areas.

The firm has more than 40 offices across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

“With Envista’s extensive service offerings and wide geographic reach, we will be able to significantly expand our product offerings, grow our client base, and increase the level of service we can provide to our clients,” said David Van Horn, VP and co-founder of GCC.

The transaction builds on Envista’s acquisition of Stephenson Consulting Group, an Arlington, TX-based property and building assessment consultancy with approximately 12 employees.
