A major construction company is look for builders, carpenters and other workers as it prepares to begin work on building 550 new homes in Cornwall.
With projects including builds in Tuckingmill, St Ives and Newquay on the horizon, Domis is holding a recruitment event next month.
The event will take place at The Hotel Bristol in Newquay on Thursday, June 9 between 1pm and 7pm and will be open for all relevant professionals to attend.
It will be the first step in the recruitment of local contractors and suppliers for Domis’ upcoming construction projects, with more than 550 new homes to be built in the Duchy.
Lee McCarren, managing director of Domis, said: “We have a busy schedule with some great projects ahead of us in Cornwall and we’re looking to establish some long-term relationships with local supply chains and labour to help us deliver them.
“This event will be a great opportunity to meet with local people and organisations that share our passion and commitment to creating excellence. We’re looking forward to meeting local trades and sharing some information about ourselves and our exciting pipeline of opportunities.”

Mr McCarren said: “Our relationship with our partners is integral to our business. We work with people and businesses that we trust and endorse, from the planning stage to project handover. This will be no different with our operations in Cornwall.”
Founded in 2017, Domis is the construction partner for developer Salboy, which in March began work on 20 retirement apartments on the edge of St Ives and last month completed the takeover of a site in Tuckingmill to build 77 homes as the first phase of what it plans to be 278 homes.
Earlier this month it also revealed plans for a new four to five star 77-bedroom hotel, high-end rooftop restaurant, 168 apartments and space for five commercial units in a £100 million redevelopment of Narrowcliff, Newquay.
