The air and travel services provider dnata has invested more than €200m (US$225m) in a 61,000m² fully automated cargo center at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) in the Netherlands.

The facility, named dnata Cargo City Amsterdam, is scheduled to become operational in 2024 and has been created to enhance cargo capacity in the Netherlands, create new jobs and expand customers’ operations. The facility will include 19,000m² of warehouse space and be capable of processing over 850,000 tons of cargo annually. It has also been designed to handle perishables, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, mail, live animals, aircraft engines and vehicles.
