David Thompson Studio is seeking candidates for an Intern Architect position.
We are a full service architectural firm engaged in retail, office and residential design with a focus on the hospitality sector, (restaurants, bars and hotels). The work includes adaptive re-use, historic preservation, interiors and new construction of light commercial buildings and houses. Current and previous projects are located in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Virginia and Washington D.C.
This is an opportunity to work in a creative, collaborative studio on a variety of project types and scales. The Intern Architect position will work with a team to participate in design work from schematics through construction documents. This position will provide the opportunity for growth through the IDP program towards licensure. Chief responsibilities will include field measuring and documenting existing structures and the production of CAD and BIM models, drawings and renderings.
The candidate must have an accredited BArch or MArch degree and be on a licensure track. Proficient knowledge of and experience with Apple computers and operating systems is required.
