We are seeking a Lecturer in Landscape Architecture and Urbanism 0.2FTE to join the Landscape Architecture and Urbanism programmes (BA, MA, MLA, MSc) in the School of Design.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspiring Landscape Architecture and Urbanism lecturer who has energy and passion for the student experience and work well across multidisciplinary teams. They will also be excited to seek out interdisciplinary opportunities both within the UoG and externally and to agent, cultivate and engage with established and new networks. To complement the current team’s academic portfolio/s, we are particularly interested in applicants with: design studio teaching experience; the ability to teach specific advanced skills and knowledge; enthusiasm for applying theory in practice;

The Landscape Architecture and Urbanism portfolio team is composed of leading design, ecology, and planning practitioners from across London and widely published research-active academics.

This is a unique opportunity to join a London-based design school with a vision to impact the world by focusing on sustainable development goals and addressing design diversity and design inclusion issues.

Most of the vacancy’s duties will involve teaching in various settings, including online and face-to-face studio, assessment, and pastoral and academic support to students, including supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. The post holder will take on the responsibility of Module Leader, undertaking the associated administration and quality assurance related to the delivery of specified modules. The successful candidate will engage in the Research, Teaching (TEF); Knowledge Exchange (KEF) professional practice across the subject area and contribute to the research profile of the school.

The successful candidate must hold a PHD in Landscape Architecture and/or Urbanism, or equivalent (completed or near completion) and HEA Fellowship
