GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A proposal by Dwelling Place to build 42 single family homes for low- to moderate-income residents in Grand Rapids’ Garfield Park neighborhood is moving forward after the city planning commission signed off on the idea.
Neighbors have pushed back against the development, arguing it would bring too much noise and traffic to the area, and packs too many homes into too small of an area. Ultimately, though, the commission approved the concept, saying the development is compatible with the neighborhood.
