BUCHAREST (Romania), January 7 (SeeNews) – Romania issued 47,276 building permits for residential projects in January-November, up 25.1% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INS, said onFriday.
During November only, Romania issued 3,902 building permits, of which 72% were for projects located in rural areas, INS said in a monthly statement.
The regional distribution shows an increase in the number of construction permits released for residential buildings, compared to November 2020, in south-Muntenia, center, western, Bucharest-Ilfov and southeast regions.
In the northwest, southwest Oltenia and northeast regions, the number of building permits was lower on the year in November.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
Romania issued 41,311 building permits for residential projects in 2020, down 2.9% year-on-year.
